Memmott's canvases are predominately urban with emphasis on perspective, color, and light. His current body of work is a reflection of his recent travels, from the South of France to the East and West coasts of the United States. He uses a rich pallet to paint scenes of glowing streetlights, illuminated neighbourhoods, and wet reflective streets.
Through the use of color, Memmott's paintings capture not only the essence of a given scene but the transcendent emotion and mood.
